The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has deployed its frontline F-16 Block-52 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia to participate in the high-intensity multinational air combat exercise “Spears of Victory 2026,” reinforcing Pakistan’s active role in global defense cooperation.
Hosted by the Royal Saudi Air Force, the exercise brings together 10 participating countries, making it one of the most diverse aerial warfare drills in the Middle East. The participating nations and their fighter aircraft include Pakistan (F-16 Block-52), Saudi Arabia (F-15 Eagles), United States (F-16 Fighting Falcons), United Kingdom (Eurofighter Typhoons), France (Dassault Rafale), Italy (Eurofighter Typhoons), Qatar (Eurofighter Typhoons), Greece (F-16 fighters), Bahrain (F-16 variants), and Jordan (F-16 aircraft).
The exercise is designed to enhance air combat readiness, coalition interoperability, and joint operational effectiveness through complex scenarios such as large force employment missions, day and night strike operations, air defense integration, and electronic warfare simulations. The inclusion of multiple advanced fighter platforms allows participating air forces to operate in a realistic modern combat environment.
PAF’s participation with F-16 Block-52 aircraft highlights its Beyond Visual Range combat capability, precision strike expertise, and operational reach. Defense analysts note that the deployment reflects Pakistan’s growing emphasis on defense diplomacy, regional stability, and professional military engagement.
By taking part in Spears of Victory 2026, the Pakistan Air Force continues to strengthen its combat preparedness and international military partnerships, while showcasing its ability to operate seamlessly alongside leading global air forces in high-threat scenarios.
