Pakistan Delivers Strong Warning to Afghan Taliban After Border Clashes, 274 Militants Killed

Pakistan’s military on Friday issued its strongest public warning yet to the Afghan Taliban regime, urging it to choose between supporting terrorist groups or maintaining relations with Islamabad, following large scale cross border hostilities.
Speaking during a detailed security briefing, Director General Inter Services Public Relations Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said the Afghan Taliban must decide whether to align with Tehreek i Taliban Pakistan, Baloch Liberation Army, Daesh and Al Qaeda, or stand with Pakistan.
The briefing came after what the military described as coordinated aggression across 53 locations along the Pak Afghan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the DG ISPR, Pakistan’s armed forces responded immediately, repulsed all attacks, and launched Operation Ghazab lil Haq in self defence.
He stated that 274 Afghan Taliban personnel and militants were killed, more than 400 injured, 73 border posts destroyed, and 18 captured. Military installations across Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, Nangarhar, Khost and Paktika were also targeted. He maintained that all strikes were intelligence based military targets with no civilian infrastructure hit.
Twelve Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred, 27 injured, and one remains missing in action.
The DG ISPR further alleged Indian sponsorship behind militant activity, claiming terrorist operations were being facilitated from Afghan territory.
