Former US President Donald Trump on January 30 warned Britain that expanding economic and business ties with China could be “very dangerous,” openly cautioning a close ally as UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer concluded high-level talks in Beijing aimed at resetting UK-China relations.

Trump made the remarks while speaking to reporters in Washington, reacting to Starmer’s diplomatic visit and meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, highlighting growing divergence among Western allies on how to engage with Beijing amid intensifying US-China tensions.
